Formed through the merger of the Brooklyn Royal Giants and the Brooklyn Eagles, this franchise represented one of New York’s proud baseball traditions during the 1930s and 1940s. The club provided opportunities for elite Black athletes while strengthening the rich baseball culture that flourished throughout Brooklyn during segregation.
