New York Black Yankees

Representing Harlem and later the Bronx, the New York Black Yankees stood as one of New York City’s proudest Negro League clubs from 1932 to 1948. While championships proved elusive, the organization showcased remarkable talent including Ted “Double Duty” Radcliffe, Fats Jenkins, George Crowe, and Terris McDuffie. Their resilience and commitment to excellence made them a cornerstone of Black baseball during an era when opportunity had to be earned rather than given.
