Washington Pilots

Though their time in Negro League baseball was brief, the Washington Pilots represented the determination and ambition that defined so many independent Black clubs. Competing in the nation’s capital, they stood as a testament to communities that continued building opportunities for Black athletes despite tremendous obstacles.
